Welcome CHS Class of 1983 - This webpage contains everything you need to know about the reunion. Follow the links above and below to find out more!
Q: Who is putting this on?
A: We are! Several of your old classmates have decided to volunteer and have been planning for months. Planning the reunion this way saves us hundreds of dollars and keeps the price as low as possible. That means there is no one person or one company in charge of everything, and it also means we do not need to pay any commission on any of the services. THERE IS NO MARK-UP. The price set for the event is the exact cost of what it takes to rent a room, pay for a meal, send invites, track down lost people, have pictures taken at the event and pay for my new Mercedes.
(Ha, ha...just checking to see if you are paying attention)
Q: How can I help to make it a successful evening?
HELP US GET THE WORD OUT!!!! We have almost half of the class registered on Facebook.
That means we need your help to get the word out to the rest of the class.
• Use the link on the invite to forward the invite with a unique link to someone who is not on Facebook. Even if they don't plan on going, they can still add their e-mail to the list, fill out the questionnaire, and then be contacted for future reunion information also.
RSVP AND PAY FOR YOUR TICKET AS SOON AS YOU CAN!
• The volunteer committee will use your payment to secure the room, track down lost people, send snail-mail to those people not on the internet, print name tags, pay for photos and tons of other things. The sooner you pay, the sooner we can secure all of these and the smoother everything will work. We can not do this without your help.
• RSVP as soon as possible. This will cause a chain reaction and get others to commit also. So, you tell two friends, and they tell two friends and so on and so on!
HAVE A GREAT TIME ON THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT AND DRINK A LOT!
• In an attempt to keep the costs low, we have had to commit to a minimum of bar service. That means you will need to pay for your own drinks and the event. Your ticket price will cover appetizers, entrees, dessert and bread service. But not drinks. This does not just mean alcoholic drinks, we will get credit for any beverage that you consume. We are sure that we will hit our minimum, but if there was ever a night that you were going to have that second drink -- try to make it November 9th!
• The after-party and the Marriott are both walking distance from the reunion, so plan to leave your car if you are drinking. Let's keep everyone safe and ready to celebrate the 35th reunion.
